Now that Apple has introduced a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stuckincustoms.com\/hdr-tutorial\/\" target=\"_blank\">HDR<\/a> feature in their new iOS people are wondering how it&#8217;ll improve their photos&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a photo I took the other day on the UPenn Campus&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1284 alignnone\" title=\"IMG_0247\" src=\"http:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With a little post processing using some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stuckincustoms.com\/hdr-tutorial\/\" target=\"_blank\">HDR<\/a> software, this is what I get&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1285\" title=\"IMG_0247_tonemapped\" src=\"http:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247_tonemapped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247_tonemapped.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.patrickchang.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0247_tonemapped-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice that the greens come out a lot better.\u00a0 I admit that I may have overdone it on the tonemapping part, but I can live with it.\u00a0 There are other things that I could have done to clean up the photo, but I&#8217;m content.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes HDR processing can really enhance a photo.
